I get paid for being me.  It is a very worthwhile, rewarding and fulfilling experience.  How would you like to get paid for just being you?  As simple as this may seem it is actually very real and very possible, yet very difficult to achieve at the same time.  Life seems to be full of such paradoxes.   It is in fact the best job in the world anyone can hope to have for a variety of reasons.   Getting paid for being you means that all you have to do is turn up, be yourself and get paid! This is the closest thing to a job for life (how is that for job security?)  The difficulty however, is in knowing who and what you are.  Knowing who you are, what you like, what you don’t like, who you should be around and who you shouldn’t be around, what you should do and what you shouldn’t do etc. etc.  can take many years to accomplish and establish.   For me, I spent many years doing all sorts of things, studying, working, relationships, investments, setting up businesses etc. etc. etc.  Until…

One day I asked myself these simple questions.

Who are you? What do you really want to do?

The answers came pouring down immediately, almost instantaneously.  Looking back at all the things I had done up until this moment, one thing was vivid, clear and consistent throughout.  I was and until this day, still always willing to help people.  It was that simple. Why not get paid for helping people succeed?  You enjoy and have a passion for it, you have accumulated a wealth of skills, knowledge and experience in all sort of things, so why not get paid for sharing that?  I recall whether it was helping fellow students at school, college, university with coursework or colleagues at work, advising people from all walks of life about personal or business issues, I always jump at the chance of helping others.   I have a natural inclination to help people do more, achieve more, be the very best they can be, by helping them to tap into their hidden potential, normally without the slightest consideration for getting paid or getting anything back in return for it.  I am a firm believer that the more you give, the more you get and I can certainly say I now know this to be true in my experience over the years.  Becoming a consultant and getting paid for what I do naturally was a no-brainer and a natural progression in my development.

Ask yourself these questions and see what you come up with. Who are you? What do you really want to do?
